Linas Kleiza - OlympiacosPanathinaikos and Olympiacos remain atop the Greek League standings after they both escaped with victories from Nea Smirni and Hellinikon and improved their records to 9-1. The Reds beat AEK 91-96 behind 28 points from Josh Childress and 25 points from Linas Kleiza, while the defending champion Greens edged Panionios 76-80 as Nikola Pekovic bagged 19 points and Vassilis Spanoulis posted 18. At Rhodes, Kostas Kaimakoglou recorded an impressive double-double of 24 points and 14 boards to seal a thrilling victory for Maroussi over host Kolossos 73-79 after overtime. Aris edged GS Olympia Larissa on the road 62-79 as Jeremy Richardson netted 21 points and Andrew Betts had 17 points and 9 boards. Panellinios smashed Kavala 84-59 behind 14 points from Josh Davis and 13 points from Kostas Haralampidis. Peristeri came back from a 36-45 deficit to down PAOK 71-68. Marcus Faison posted 16 points and Jamie Arnold recorded a double-double of 15 points and 11 boards for the hosts, while Chris Monroe and Todor Gecevski led the visitors with 19 and 18 points respectively. Trikala registered an important home win over Ilissiakos 70-67 thanks to Giorgos Apostolidios who posted 16 points.

The defending champion Greens edged Panionios 76-80 as Nikola Pekovic bagged 19 points and Vassilis Spanoulis posted 18. Panathinaikos led 67-77 with three minutes to go, but the hosts came up big to cut the margin to 75-77. Then Tyresse Rice committed a turnover, while Vassilis Spanoulis and Mike Batiste scored 2 crucial free throws for a 76-80 win. Sarunas Jasikevicius added 13 points for the winners. Dimitris Papanikolaou bagged 21 points for Panionios, Rice had 12 points and BJ Elder added 11 points.

At Hellinikon, Olympiacos which played without the injured Theodoros Papaloukas, soared up to 69-81, but AEK didn’t surrender and cut the deficit to 83-85 with two minutes to go. The visitors didn’t panic and found the path for a 91-96 victory. Josh Childress bagged 28 points and Linas Kleiza recorded a double-double of 25 points and 13 boards and Milos Teodosic scored 17 points and dished 9 assists. Torin Green led the hosts with 26 points and 6 boards, Makis Nikolaidis chipped in 20 points and Donny McGrath added 17 points.

At Rhodes Maroussi came back from a 59-51 disadvantage and used a 14-2 charge to take a 61-65 lead, but Nikos Papappas scored 2 free throws to tie the game at 69-69 and force overtime. Finally the visitors registered their eighth win in 10 games, 73-79. Kostas Kaimakoglou shined with 24 points, 14 boards and 3 steals, Michalis Pelekanos posted 13 points, Billy Keys had 12 and Jamon Lucas added 10 points and 9 assists. For Kolossos Lance Harris netted 19 points, Angelos Tsamis bagged 18 points and Nikos Pappas had 11.
