Montepaschi Siena and Air Avellino are the only undefeated teams in the Italian League after 4 games. Montepaschi downed Armani Jeans 79-91 in Milano on Sunday, in a rematch of last year's finals. Romain Sato paced the winners with 25 points. David Hawkins added 19 against his former team. Avellino needed overtime to edge Benetton Treviso 82-80 at home also on Sunday behind 24 points and 16 rebounds from Chevy Troutman. Lottomatica Roma improved to 2-2 by topping Carife Ferrara 71-88 on the road on Sunday. Ibby Jaaber led the winners with 25 points. Angelico Biella moved up to 3-1 by edging Vanoli Cremona 89-82 at home also on Sunday with 27 points from Pietro Aradori. Meanwhile, Barca Tercas Teramo went down to 1-3 due to a 66-69 home loss against Virtus Bologna. In other games, Cimberio Varese topped Sigma Coatings Montegranaro 73-85, NGC Medical Cantu defeated Scavolini Spar Pesaro 60-75 while Pepsi Caserta overwhelmed Martos Napoli 49-89 behind 22 points from Jumaine Jones.

Montepaschi Siena stayed undefeated after 4 games by topping Armani Jeans 79-91 in Milano on Sunday, in a rematch of last year's finals. Sato paced the winners with 25 points. Hawkins added 19, Terrell McIntyre had 14 and 9 assists, Henry Domercant got 13 points while Ben Eze pulled down 10 rebounds for Montepaschi. Jonas Maciulis led AJ with 19 points. Marius Petravicius had 18 while Morris Finley added 11 for the hosts. Montepaschi led 35-48 late in the first half but Maciulis, Petravicius and Finley allowed the hosts to get a 56-54 after 35 minutes. A three-pointer by Sato and free throws by Nikos Zisis helped Montepaschi to regain the lead, 61-64, at the end of the third quarter. Montepaschi rolled in the fourth quarter and cruised to a well-deserved win. Lottomatica Roma improved to 2-2 by topping Carife Ferrara 71-88 on the road on Sunday. Jaaber led the winners with 25 points. Rodrigo De La Fuente added 17 while Kennedy Winston had 13 for Roma, that led 51-66 after 30 minutes and did not find much trouble to add a convincing road win.

Angelico Biella moved up to 3-1 by edging Vanoli Cremona 89-82 at home also on Sunday. Aradori led the winners with 27 points. Sven Schultze added 12 while Joe Smith and Fred Jones each had 11 for Biella, that led 47-36 at halftime. Cremona got within 58-52 late in the third quarter but Aradori and Schultze allowed Biella to seal the outcome, 75-59, early in the fourth quarter. Benetton dropped to 3-1 due to a 82-80 overtime road loss against Air Avellino. Chevy Troutman paced the winners with 24 points and 16 rebounds. Gary Neal led Benetton with 26 points. CJ Wallace added 13 while Jasmin Hukic and Davor Kus each had 10 for the guests. It all came down to the final seconds in regulation, in which a three-pointer by Hukic sent the game to overtime, 69-69. Dee Brown allowed Avellino to win the game in overtime. Barca Tercas Teramo went down to 1-3 due to a 66-69 home loss against Virtus Bologna. LeRoy Hurd led Virtus with 16 points. Valerio Amoroso had 18 points for Avellino while Bobby Jones added 14 for the hosts. Drake Diener had the chance to tie the game at the buzzer but his three-point shot was blocked by Viktor Sanikidze.
