Spirou Basket Charleroi - that did not play this week - and VOO Verviers-Pepinster led the Belgian League standings with a 1-0 record, with Generali Okapi Aalstar right behind at 3-1. Only three games were played in this round, as Spirou did not have any showdowns scheduled while Stella Artois Leuven Bears is set to face Belgacom Liege Basket on December 18. Pepinster had a strong 2010-11 Belgian League debut by downing Antwerp Giants 98-84 at home on Saturday. Dominic Waters led the winners with 26 points. Stefon Jackson added 21 while Rashaun Freeman had 20 for Pepinster, that led 57-40 at halftime and managed to control the game until the final buzzer. Dexia Mons-Hainaut topped Telenet BC Oostende 71-84 at home behind 27 points from Ronell Taylor. Okapi thrashed Optima Gent 62-88 on the road also on Saturday. Anthony Hilliard had 19 points.
