JIP Pardubice became the last team to reach the Czech League semifinals by edging Unibon Novy Jicin 63-55 in Game 5 of their best-of-five Quarterfinal series on Wednesday. Pardubice became the only team able to win a home game in this series and made it to the next round. Derek Wright and Petr Bohacik paced the winners with 13 points. Jiri Cernosek added 11 for Pardubice. Robert Sarovic led Novy Jicin with 10 points. Pardubice led 35-29 at halftime and kept a 48-43 edge after 30 minutes. The hosts boosted their margin to 61-51 soon after that and never looked back. The best-of-five semifinals matchups are Prostejov - Pardubice and CEZ Basketball Nymburk - Decin. Game 1 is scheduled on Saturday.
