Bamberg took the series 3-2 for its fourth German title, all won in the last six years, but its first back-to-back trophies. Down 62-64 on his home court, John Goldsberry scored 4 points and assisted Brian Roberts on a three-pointer over the span of a minute to put Bamberg up 69-64 with 21 seconds to go. Roberts and Predrag Suput led the winners with 15 points each. Kyle Hines added 12 points and 9 rebounds, while Goldberry and Casey Jacobsen scored 10 each. For Alba, which had led much of the game, Julius Jenkins poured in 22 points and Taylor Bryce 13. Bamberg had led 16-13 after one quarter and followed Hines and Suput to a 28-20 edge early in the second before Alba started coming back. A 1-10 run in which Jenkins was unstoppable launched the visitors in front 29-30 at halftime on a basket by Yassin Idbihi. Alba would lead by as much as 41-46 midway through the third quarer before Goldberry and Roberts tied it up, 48-48, although Alba entered the final quarer ahead 48-52. Tibor Pleiss stared the fourth quarter with a three-point play and soon Bamberg took back a 56-54 lead. After 4 scoreless minutes passed, Taylor and Jenkins gave Alba a 62-64 lead with 1:43 to play. After that, however, it was all Bamberg all the way to the trophy celebration.

German League, Season 2010-11
After another exciting season that went to the wire in 2010, the German League comes back with a score of balanced teams and superb talents to entertain fans across the country and the continent. The last three champions, Brose Baskets Bamberg, EWE Baskets Oldenburg and Alba Berlin are naturally among the favorites, but traditional powers like Telekom Bonn and Deutsche Bank Skyliners and rising powers like BG Goettingen or last season's semifinalists Eisbaren Bremerhaven and New Yorker Phantoms Braunschweig are all in the mix. Bamberg boasts a powerful roster with the core of last season’s roster, Tibor Pleiss, Predrag Suput and Casey Jacobsen, joined by Rey Terry and Kyle Hines. Rickey Paulding remains the familiar face at Oldenburg, which also added big men Aron Baynes and Chris McNaughton and forward Mindaugas Lukauskis. Berlin brought in Marko Marinovic, Tadija Dragicevic, Hollis Price and Derrick Allen to help Julius Jenkins and Immanuel McElroy. Bonn has Tim Ohlbrecht at the head of a strong frontline and Vincent Yarbrough on the perimeter as it looks for a strong season. The Skyliners' strength is in its backcourt with DaShaun Wood and Pascal Roller among the catalysts. Goettingen kept Dwayne Anderson, Kyle Bailey and Jason Boone to fuel its run-and-gun attack. Marcus Goree and LaMarr Greer lead a veteran group for Braunschweig. Andrew Drevo returns to Bremerhaven to try to repeat last season's playoff run. Among the other teams expected to challenge for playoff spots are Artland Dragons with Adam Hess, Nate Peavy and Ruben Boumtje Boumtje, EnBW Ludwigsburg with Jerry Green and Rick Rickert, ratiopharm Ulm with Robin Benzing and Lee Humphrey, Mitteldeutscher BC with Michael Jordan and Walter Tigers Tubingen with Johannes Herber. However when all is said and done, expect the unexpected in the German League, where the talent always refreshes itself and anything is possible.
