Salvis Metra led the winners with 15 points. Ivans Nelubovs and Martins Laksa each had 20 points for VEF while Raitis Grafs added 13 for the guests, that trailed all the way in the second half and only rallied once the outcome was clear. VEF had previously beaten Liepajas Lauvas 68-79 on the road on Wednesday. Kaspars Berzins led the winners with 15 points. Grafs, Gatis Jahovics and Dairis Bertans each added 12 while Laksa had 11 for VEF, that led 53-62 after 30 minutes and never looked back. VEF and Ventspils tie atop the standings each with a 5-1 record. On Tuesday, Barons thrashed Zemgale 68-94 behind 14 Corey Lowe, that led 6 players in double digits. On Wednesday, Ventspils defeated Valmiera 69-55 with 14 points from Rashad Anderson. On Friday, Valmiera bounced back with an 88-48 home win against LU. Pavels Veselovs led the winners with 22 points. On Saturday, Ventspils had to battle hard to edge Liepajas 86-89 on the road with 20 points each from Anderson and Akselis Vairogs.
