Brandon Hunter - Ventspils (Photo bkventspils.lv)Ventspils thrashed VEF Riga 55-93 on the road in Game 4 of the Latvian League finals to take a commanding 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven series. Akselis Vairogs scored 17 to lead Ventspils, which will try to regain the league title in Game 5 on Saturday. Ventspils outscored Riga in each of the first two quarters to take a 31-44 halftime lead and then poured it on in the second half to put the game away. Demond Carter added 13 points, Brandon Hunter had 12 and 5 assists and Janis Strelnieks scored 10 for the winners. Dairis Bertans led Riga with 17 points.
