Polish League Finals, Game 7: May 23, 2011
Asseco Prokom Gdynia won the Polish League championship for the eighth straight season on Monday with a 76-71 victory over PGE Turow Zgorzelec in the seventh-and-deciding game of the Polish League finals. Ronnie Burrell tallied 12 points, 9 rebounds and 2 blocked shots to pace the champs and Dan Ewing added 11 points and 4 assists and was later named Finals MVP. Prokom dominated early, racing out to leads of 15-4 and 20-6. Turos never quit and closed the gap to 4 in the third quarter and then rallying from 64-48 midway through the fourth quarter to 71-68 on a David Jackson basket with 93 seconds remaining. But the hosts held on thanks to free throws by Filip Videnov and Ewing down the stretch. Courtney Eldridge added 10 points for the winners. Daniel Kickert posted 18 points and 8 rebounds, Jackson scored 17 and Konrad Wysocki added 12 points in defeat.

Polish League, Season 2010-11
Asseco Prokom Gdynia starts the 2010-11 Polish League as the main candidate to lift the trophy and the undeniable favorite to defend the title. Prokom won its seventh consecutive Polish League title last spring and is the one and only team to beat. Daniel Ewing, Jan Jagla, Ronnie Burrell, Bobby Brown or Michael Wilks. Anwil Wloclawek made it to the Polish League finals last season and is back with players like Paul Miller, Andrzej Pluta, DJ Thompson or Robert Skibniewski. A big group of teams will battle for a semifinals spot, trying to challenge Prokom as much as possible. PGE Turow Zgorzelec has David Jackson, Konras Wysocki and Torey Thomas as its leaders. Trefl Sopot, a surprise team last season, is set to confirm is status as a rising squad in the country with Filip Dylewicz, Pawel Kikowski and Lawrence Kinnard. SKS Polpharma-Pakmet Starogard Gdanski relies on Michael Hicks and Deonta Vaughn to make the difference. PBG Basket Poznan has a tough team with Patrick Okafor, Jeremy Fears and Eddie Miller as its main leaders. Polpharma Starogard Gdanski and AZS Koszalin will also battle for a playoff spot. Expect the Polish League to keep getting better and better in the near future.
