Polish League, Regular Season, Game 3: October 23-25, 2010

Energa Czarni Slupsk and Zastal Zielona Gora tie atop the Polish League standings, each with a 3-0 record. Defending champion Asseco Prokom Gdynia and Anwil Wloclawek are right behind at 3-1. Czarni Slupsk beat Kotwica Kolobrzeg 82-73 behind 22 points from Cameron Bennerman. Meanwhile, Zastal stayed undefeated by edging PBG Basket Poznan 79-84 on the road on Saturday. Tomasz Kesicki paced the winners with 22 points. Asseco Prokom bounced back from its Turkish Airlines Euroleague road loss against BC Khimki Moscow Region by thrashing Siarka Tarnobrzeg 71-88 on the road on Saturday. Bobby Brown led the winners with 25 points. Adam Hrycaniuk added 22 while Filip Videnov had 19 for Prokom, that led 35-36 at halftime but rolled after the break to cruise to a well-deserved win. Anwil had to battle hard to edge AZS Koszalin behind 18 points from Nikola Jovanovic and Chris Thomas. Eric Hicks added 16, Andrzej Pluta had 15 and Paul Miller got 11 for Anwil. Both teams were tied at 82-82 with 1:30 left but Pluta and Hicks stepped up in crunch time to win it for the hosts. Trefl Sopot hosts Polpharma on Sunday while Polonia Warszawa visits PGE Turow on Monday.
