Ukrainian League, Games 14: November 16-22, 2010
Demetrius Alexander - BC AzovmashBC Donetsk leads the Ukrainian League standings with a 12-2 record. Budivelnik ranks second at 11-3 while defending champion Azovmash is right behind at 9-5. Donetsk thrashed Ferro-ZNTU 88-60 at home on Tuesday, as Branko Cvetkovic led 6 players in double digits with 17 points. Azovmash survived a tough test by topping Mykolaiv 73-83 on the road on Friday. Chris Owens led the winners with 20 points. Fred House added 16 and 10 rebounds, Maksym Pustozvonov had 15 while Ramel Curry and Demetrius Alexander each got 12 for Azovmash, that led 64-67 with 6 minutes left. A 0-7 run allowed Azovmash to get full control of the game until the final buzzer. Budivelnik edged BC Odessa 69-64 in Kyiv on Saturday. Billy Keys had 19 points for the winners while Leonid Stefanishin added 14. In other games, Mykolaiv beat BC Odessa 81-69, Dnipro edged Hoverla 72-66, Khimik bested Kryvbasbasket 84-79, Halychyna overwhelmed Dnipro Azot 59-92, Dnipro defeated Halychyna 78-72 while Hoverla downed Azot 77-88.
