Demetrius Alexander - BC AzovmashDespite not playing in this round, Budivelnik leads the Ukrainian League with a 26-7 record. Donetsk is second at 25-8, with defending champion Azovmash ranking third at 21-12. Donetsk topped Mykolaiv 74-68 at home on Tuesday behind 26 points on 15-of-17 free throws from Branko Cvetkovic. Azovmash also beat Mykolaiv 80-74 in Mariupol on Wednesday. Demetrius Alexander paced the winners with 21 points. Maksym Pustozvonov added 19, Fred House had 16 while Drago Pasalic got 13 for Azovmash, that trailed 15-28 after 10 minutes. Azovmash rallied and used a 10-0 run that Alexander capped with a jumper to get a 67-63 edge with under 6 minutes left. House, Pustozvonov and Ramel Curry shined in crunch time to keep Azovmash out of trouble. In other games, Halychyna edged Ferro-ZNTU 88-84, Hoverla downed Kryvbasbasket 83-64 while Dnipro Azot beat Dnipro 92-85.
