BC Donetsk is just one win away from taking the Ukranian League title after having defeated Budivelnik on Friday by 88-74 to move ahead, 3-2, in the best-of-seven series. JK Edwards led the winners with 18 points and 5 rebounds, Sasha Vasilievich added 17, Branko Cvetkovic chipped in with 13 and Vyacheslav Kravtsov helped with 10. For Budivelnik, Dewarick Spencer had 18 points, Zach Morley 10 and Denis Ikovlev also added 10. The game would be decided for ths hosts in the first half as teh score was 20-11 after 10 minutes and 49-30 at the break thanks to profficient three-point shooting by Donetsk. Budivelnik managed to creact a little in the last two periods, but the hosts controlled the situation and never saw their lead threatened, as both teams head to the first decisive game of the series next Sunday.
