Cedevita Zagreb closed the gap from first place Maccabi Electra to just two wins by blasting Union Olimpija 93-75 on Wednesday in the Adriatic League. Partizan mt:s also won to remain one game back, but Buducnost Voli lost to slip to fourth place. Marko Car scored 18 points and Miro Bilan added 17 plus 11 rebounds to lead six Cedevita scorers in double figures as the team improved to 12-3. The hosts led by 12 after 10 minutes, but Olimpija closed the gap to 35-28 by halftime. Cedevita then erupted for 34 third-quarter points as it put the game out of reach. Dontaye Draper and Ivan Opacak added 13 points apiece for the winners. Deon Thompson scored 10 for Olimpija in defeat. Partizan is 11-4 following a 64-72 road win at Helios Domzale. Miroslav Raduljica dominated with 31 points on near-perfect shooting plus 8 rebounds and 2 blocks in amassing a performance index rating of 47 for the winners. Domzale led 62-61 after a Drazen Bubnic basket with three minutes to play, but Dusan Kecman countered with the next two baskets and Raduljica added 5 straight points to steer Partizan to victory. Kecman finished with 10 points, while Drago Pasalic led Domzale with 13 points. Crvena Zvezda took care of Buducnost 63-57. KK Zagreb bested Hemofarm Stada 77-67 as Damir Rancic heated up for 21 points and Sean May tallied 11 points and 8 rebounds. And Cibona downed host Krka Novo Mesto 77-86 thanks to 22 points from Antwain Barbour. Cibona’s 11-28 lead after one quarter essentially sealed the outcome early. Zagreb and Cibona are now tied for sixth place with 8-7 records.
