Devin Smith - Maccabi ElectraMaccabi Electra warmed up for the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Top 16 by winning the first of its two games this weekend in overtime, 85-91 on the road against Cibona Zagreb in the Adriatic League. Three-pointers by Devin Smith and Jon Scheyer keyed 2-12 run to start overtime for the winners. Smith led all scorers with 19 points as Maccabi raised its record to 15-1. Keith Langford added 16 points and Lior Eliyahu 11 for the winners, who made 10 of 18 three-pointers and got 12 rebounds from Shawn James. Two more Adriatic League games on Saturday went to overtime. Eurocup Last 16 challenger Buducnost outlasted KK Zagreb 81-70 at home as Nikola Ivanovic exploded for 23 points. Damir Rancic of Cibona sent the game to OT with a free throw, but Bojan Dubljevic, Ivanovic and Marko Popovic then scored the first 7 points for Buducnost, which held the lead the rest of the way. Budcnost is now tied for third place at 11-5 with Partizan, which lost 92-80 on the road at Radnicki despite 18 points each from Miroslav Raduljica and Vladimir Lucic. Miljan Pavkovic scored 23 for Radnicki. Another Eurocup team, Krka, had it toughest on Saturday, losing 81-60 at Siroki. Jakov Vladovic had 17 points and 12 assists for Siroki. In the third overtime game of the night, Helios stopped visiting Hemofarm Vrsac 89-86 as Klemen Prepelic had 28 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Second-placed Cedevita cruised Sunday by routing Zlatorog Lasko 64-83. Cedevita pulled ahead 11-24 after 10 minutes and dominated the fourth quarter to punctuate the victory. Vedran Vukusic scored 24 points and Miro Bilan posted 17 points and 8 rebounds as Cedevita improved to 13-3. And Union Olimpija held off Crvena Zvezda 74-73. New signing Goran Jeretin scored the game-winning free throw after Deon Thompson tied the score from the line in the final minute. Sasu Salin scored 20 and Vladimir Dasic 19 for Olimpija. Petar Popovic posted 25 points and 10 rebounds in defeat.
