Adriatic League, Regular Season, Game 26: March 16-18, 2012
The Adriatic League regular season came to a close with the top three teams in the standings coasting to big wins. Maccabi blasted Radnicki 92-76 on Saturday behind 18 points from Devin Smith, 14 from Lior Eliyahu and 13 each from Keith Langford and David Blu to finish the regular season 24-1. Partizan mt:s dominated the great Belgrade derby against Crvena Zvezda 69-84 to take its record to 19-7. Dominic James scored 20, while Milan Macvan shined with 18 points and 14 rebounds for the winners, who outrebounded their rivals 23-38. Cedevita also finished up 19-7 after beating Hemofarm Stada 80-64. Miro Bilan tallied 17 points and 10 rebounds and Ivan Opacak added 16 points for the winners. Buducnost Voli, which is also headed to the final four, dropped to 17-8 after falling 72-68 at Union Olimpija. Sasu Salin scored 15 and Goran Jeretin 14 for the winners. Bojan Krstovic led Buducnost with 20 in defeat. Siroki WWin finished its season with a big win, 48-72 over KK Zagreb. The Siroki defense held Zagreb to 8 first-quarter points and 4 in the third quarter. Zeljko Sakic scored 13 and Darko Planinic 12 to lead Siroki. The other teams to finish the regular season on a winning note were Krka and Cibona. The Adriatic League final four will take place in Tel Aviv on April 28-29.
