Lukoil Academic Sofia remained unbeaten at 3-0 in the Bulgarian League after downing Rilski Sportist 71-82 behind 17 points and 7 assists from Brandon Heath, 15 points from Bruno Sundov and 11 apiece from Pavel Marinov and Lamont Mack. The game was tight in the first half, with the guests leading 41-42, before Sofia stepped up defensively and, widened the margin to double digits. Filip Vukosavljevic contributed 23 points for the home team. Euroins Cherno More beat Tundja Yambol 72-62 to stay in second place with a 2-1 record. Aleksandar Yaned notched a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds, while Georgi Davidov added 12 points. Martin Durchev and John Ofoegbu bagged 19 apiece for Yambol. Spartak Pleven took out Chernomorets 91-79, as Ilia Stankov posted 25 points, Veselin Georgiev 22 and Stanislav Slaveykov 18. The visitors got 24 points from Konstantin Koev and 22 from Atanas Penev. In Sunday’s game, Levski topped Balkan 81-73 led by 13 points off the bench from Pavel Ivanov.
