Perennial champion Lukoil Academic padded its record atop the Bulgarian League with an 84-60 victory over third placed Rilski Sportist Sunday to improve to 22-2. Andre Owens paved the way with 14 points and 6 assists and Lamont Mack posted 13 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. After taking a 46-35 halftime lead, Academic put the game away with a 25-11 third quarter. Stanislav Vaklinov led Rilski with 13 points. Second-placed Levski Sofia recorded the biggest win of the weekend by blasting Balkan 64-105 to improve to 19-5. Aaron Harper scored 26 and Marcus Hall tallied 20 points and 7 assists in the march to victory. The other Bulgarian League winners over the weekend were Tundja Yambol and Chernomorets.
