French League, Regular Season, Game 3: October 21-22, 2011

SLUC Nancy is the only team in the French League that is undefeated through three rounds of domestic action. The defending champs improved to 3-0 by routing Nanterre 64-85 on Saturday behind 19 points from Adrien Moerman and an Akin Akingbala double-double. Nancy took care of business early with a 10-29 opening quarter and never looked back. Nicolas Batum added 15 points and 5 assists, Jamal Shuler scored 14 and Akingbala tallied 10 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Xavier Corosine led Nanterre with 21 points. BCM Gravelines-Dunkerque came from behind to win an all-Eurocup showdown against Asvel Basket 69-72. The hosts went into the fourth quarter ahead 61-52, but the Gravelines defense took control, Juby Johnson led a 2-11 charge and Andrew Albicy made it stand up with 2 free throws and a steal in the waning seconds to ice the win. Johnson finished with 17 points, Albicy had 14 and JK Edwards 13 for the victors. Edwin Jackson scored 20 and Tony Parker 18 for Asvel. Cholet Basket handed previously undefeated Elan Chalon/Saone its first loss 71-79. The hosts led by 10 after 10 minutes, but Cholet battled back in part by owning the glass 28-46. Demetris Nichols paced Cholet with 24 points, William Gradit netted 17 and Chandler Parsons recorded 14 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Malcolm Delaney scored 18 for Chalon. Orleans stopped Le Mans 72-76 thanks to 16 points from David Monds. Taylor Rochestie had 14 points and 5 assists for Le Mans. Chorale Roanne, Paris-Levallois, Poitiers Basket 86 and SIG Strasbourg also won to join eight teams tied for second place at 2-1.
