German League, Regular Season, Game 18: January 14-15, 2012
Brose Baskets scored a huge 69-101 away win over EnBw Ludwigsburg to stay atop the German League table with 16-2 record, while ratiopharm Ulm is still chasing second place with 15-3 mark aftre a thrilling 65-68 win in Goettingen. Brose Baskets scored 61 points in the first half to lead by 20 at halftime and never looked back. P.J. Tucker led the way with 35 points only 2 missed shots, Casey Jacobsen added 20 with 6-for-10 three-point shooting and Tibor Pleiss had 17 points with 9 rebounds. Jeff Greer led Ludwigsburg with 14 points. Isaiah Swann had 15 points and Roderick Trice 14 for Ulm in its 65-68 thriller over Goettingen. Swann scored with 34 seconds left to make it 62-57, but back-to-back three pointers by Matt Bauscher and Jerel Allen made it 66-65 with 8 seconds on the game clock, however Per Gunther sealed the Ulm win from the foul line. BBC Bayreuth edged Aba Berlin 80-77 after chasing 33-40 at halftime. Osvaldo Jeanty tied the game at 64-64 to start the last quarter. Derrick Allen later tied it at 74-74, but a three by Jeanty broke the balance. Jeanty posted 26 points for the winners and Danny Giibson added 18. DaShaun Woods contributed with 22, Allen 14 and Torin Francis with 13 for Berlin. Artland Dragons climbed to third place with 13-5 record by beating Telekom Bonn 93-83. Brandon Thomas led five Artland scorers in double figures with 19 points and Nathan Peavy added 18 with 13 rebounds. Chris Ensminger scored 24 in defeat. FC Bayern Munich trashed EWE Baskets Oldenburg 102-71 behind 16 points apiece by Steffen Hamann and Robin Benzing. Jared Homan contributed 15 points and Jonathan Wallace 12. Ronnie Burrell led Oldenburg with 13. Meanwhile Giessen 46ers routed Walter Tigers Tuebingen 76-61 behind 17 points apiece drained by Barry Stewart and Wayne Bernard and New Yorker Phantoms Braunschweig edged TBB Trier 78-72 with Immanuel McElroy as the main contributor with 14 points.
