On Sunday the Reds thrashed Maroussi 92-63 at home as Kyle Hines and Kalin Lucas netted 14 points apiece. On Saturday Panathinaikos overwhelmed Drama 74-95 on the road behind 16 points from Dimitris Diamantidis, while David Logan and Kostas Tsartsaris scored 15 points each. Surprising Kolossos edged Aris 66-75 on the road, with AngelosTsamis posting 17 points and 6 boards, while Christos Tapoutos was the best in defeat for the hosts with 18 points. PAOK lost to Kavala, 60-75, and ties Aris at 0-2 In other games Peristeri beat Ikaros 55-65 on the road behind 19 points from Richard Roby and Panionios topped Iilissiakos 76-66 thanks to 20 points and 9 boards from Alex Stepheson. Rethimno enjoyed a week 2 bye.

At the Peace and Friendship Stadium, Olympiacos had an easy job to accomplish and bested Maroussi easily 92-63. The hosts took a 25-19 lead after 10 minutes and soared to 51-35 by halftime. Kyle Hines posted 14 points and 5 boards and Kalin Lucas also scored 14 for the Reds. Pero Antic chipped in 12 points, Kostas Papanikolaou recorded 11 points and 6 assists and Vassilis Spanoulis dished 7 assists. For Maroussi, Dimitris Haritopoulos delivered 23 points and 6 boards and Giannis Gagaloudis posted 14 points and dished 9 assists.

In Drama, defending champion Panathinaikos trailed 24-23after on quarter, but then exploded to lead 40-51 at halftime and bested the hosts 74-95. Euroleague MVP Dimitris Diamantidis finished with 16 points and 6 assists, Kostas Tsartsaris chipped in 15 points on a 6-for-6 two-point shooting, David Logan scored 15 points too, Nick Calathes netted 11 and Romain Sato added 9 points and 11 boards. For Drama, Jamar Sanders bagged 17 points and Gary Flowers had a double- double of 12 points and 10 boards.

Kolossos Rhodes overcame Aris 66-75. Angelos Tsamis paced the visitors with 17 points and 6 rebounds and Kostas Harissis got 15 points and 8 boards. Christos Tapoutos paced Aris with 18 points, Dominic James scored 13 and Sergio Kerusch posted 12 points and 8 rebounds. In Kavala the local team came back after trailing by 10 points and downed PAOK 75-60. Michael Taylor paced the winners with 25 points and Patrick O’ Bryant recorded 10 points and 7 rebounds. Dimos Dikoudis led PAOK with 15 points and JR Giddens tallied 11 points and 9 rebounds.
