Giorgos Printezis netted 14 points and led Olympiacos to a difficult 73-64 home win over Panionios as the Reds improved their record to 21-1 to remain atop the Greek League standings. Panathinaikos thrashed Peristeri 64-97 on the road to stay in second place with a 20-2 mark behind 18 points from Sarunas Jasikevicius. At the Peace and Friendship Stadium, Olympiacos trailed 52-54 late in the third quarter, but used a 14-0 charge to take a 66-54 lead and edge Panionios. Acie Law returned from his injury with 9 points, Vassilis Spanoulis posted 9 points and 7 assists and Marko Keselj added 9 points too. Alex Stephenson produced 13 points and 8 boards for Panionios. In Peristeri, Panathinaikos dominated on the court and overwhelmed the local team. The Greens made 14 for 24 behind the arc, including a perfect 8 for 8 between Jasikevicius and Dimitris Diamantidis. Jasikevicius bagged 18 points in only 13 minutes, Diamantidis recorded 16 points and 4 steals, Romain Sato and Steven Smith got 11 points apiece and Nick Calathes added 10 points and 5 assists. Kostas Kaimakoglou and Kostas Tsartsaris didn't play due to injuries, but they will be available on Tuesday for Game 1 of the Euroleague playoffs against Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv. Panagiotis Kafkis scored 14 points and Gavin Edwards 12 for Peristeri. Aris had an easy time in Maroussi, where they thrashed the local team 69-90 behind 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists from Christos Tapoutos. Ronald Davis and Michalis Tsairelis added 12 points each for the victors. PAOK came back from a 22-23 deficit to top Drama 77-59. Nikos Pappas paced the hosts with 20 points and Dimos Dikoudis netted 12. In other games, Rethimno trumped Kolossos Rhodes 76-70 as Lamar Wright recorded 23 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and Ikaros Kallithea edged Ilissiakos 61-60 on the road with Romel Beck producing 21 points and 7 boards.
