Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv was made to sweat before beating Rishon Lezion 74-77, while Hapoel Jerusalem fueled its final four hopes by beating Holon on the road. Maccabi got 20 points from Keith Langford as it improved to 20-2. Rishon was equal to Maccabi for three quarters, after which the score was 53-53, but Maccabi took control down the stretch. It was still 62-64 midway through the fourth when David Blu nailed a three, then Richard Hendrix and Langford added baskets as Maccabi slowly took control for good. Blu added 15 points and Theo Papaloukas dished 7 assists for the winners. Brandown Bowman paced Rishon with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Jerusalem evened Holon for fourth place with a 13-10 record thanks to a 70-80 road win. DJ Strawberry dominated with 37 points and 7 rebounds for the visitors. Second-place Galil/Gilboa cruised past Ashkelon 83-66 as Romeo Travis posted 24 points and 11 rebounds.
