Milano bested Fabi Shoes Montegranaro 88-72 behind 15 and 14 points, respectively, from Mason Rocca and Leon Radosevic. Drew Nicholas and Nicolo Melli nailed back-to-back three-pointers as part of a 10-0 second-quarter run that gave Milano its first double-digit lead, 40-29. Tariq Kirksay cut it to 44-37 at halftime, but Radosevic dominated the third quarter and helped the hosts climb to 59-41, from which it never looked back. Nicholas finished with 13 points and 6 assists and Meli scored 11 for the winners. Ivan Zoroski and Dejan Ivanovic scored 15 each for Montegranaro. Third placed Angelico Biella missed a chance to join the leaders on wins when it lost 79-73 at Cimberio Varese. Rok Stipcevic scored 25 and Yakhouba Diawara tallied 17 points and 7 rebounds for the victors, who are tied with Canadian Solar Bologna and Pepsi Caserta for fourth place. Novipiu Casale Monferrato started strong, lost the lead, but came back to beat Bennet Cantu 69-65. In an exciting fourth quarter that featured five lead changes and four ties, Giorgi Shermadini tied the score from the line at 65-65 in the final minute. But Matt Janning put the hosts up for good with 2 free throws and after Gianluca Basile missed a triple, Stefano Gentile iced the win from the line. Mustafa Shakur paced Monferrato with 20 points, Janning scored 17 and David Chiotti posted a double double. Nicolas Mazzarino scored 15 for Cantu, Vladimir Micov had 12 and Shermadini a double double. Benetton Treviso managed an 80-72 victory over Banco di Sardegna Sassari as Jobey Thomas came through with 17 points and Vlad Moldoveanu scored 14.
