Lietuvos Rytas became the first team to double digit wins in the Lithuanian League with a pair of victories on Wednesday and Thursday. Rytas crushed Naglis 107-55 and then 24 hours later routed Sakalai 106-65 in the Vilnius derby to improve to 11-1. Zalgiris, which did not play this week, still holds first place with an 8-0 record. Jonas Valanciunas tallied 22 points on 8-of-10 shooting, 11 rebounds and 2 blocks in the first win, which was decided already when the hosts led 49-30 at the break. Vilmantas Dilys added 16 points and Lawrence Roberts and Renaldas Seibutis scored 12 apiece for the winners. Nikita Barinov paced Naglis with 19 points. Against Sakalai, Valanciunas netted 19 points and grabbed 6 boards and Seibutis scored 17. Sakalai actually led 26-27 after 10 minutes, but a 32-12 second quarter decided the outcome. Laurynas Samenas led Sakalai with 20 points.
