Crvena Zvezda (Photo: kkcrvenazvezda.rs)Crvena Zvezda evened the Serbian League finals at 1-1 with a 68-56 victory over Partizan mt:s on Friday evening. Omar Thomas starred with 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winners, who dominated the first half and shut down Partizan’s attack in the fourth quarter. The visitors grabbed an early lead, but Nemanja Nedovic and Thomas each scored twice in a 14-3 run that bridged the first and second quarter and put the hosts ahead 28-17. Nedovic free throws made it 42-28 at halftime. Partizan rallied to within 56-48 through three quarters and came as close as 58-55 on a Miroslav Raduljica basket midway through the fourth quarter. However Sava Lesic hit back with a big three-pointer, Thomas added another basket and the Zvezda defense allowed Partizan just 1 points over the final four-plus minutes of the game to secure the victory. Raduljica paced Partizan with 17 points and Dragan Milosavljevic and Vladimir Lucic added 10 each.
