Slovenian League, Regular Season, Phase 2 Game 4: April 4, 2012
Unon Olmipija remains unbeaten, after four games in the Slovenian League Championship Group after downing Sentjur 82-69, while Helios survived a 79-78 thriller with Krka Novo Mesto to keep second place at 3-1. Olimpija had a comfortable time beating Sentjur after taking a 44-34 margin at halftime. Vladimir Dasic was the main contributor with 20 points, Deon Thompson bagged 15 and Jaka Blazic netted 12, while Travis Nelson had 18 for the guests. Drazen Bubnic beat the buzzer to give a 79-78 win to Helios Domzale over Krka Novo Mesto, the visitors took a 75-78 advantage with free throws of Afik Nissim and 17 seconds remanining, three seconds later Klemen Prepelic scored his two for the 77-78, but Smiljan Pavic missed his two attempts giving to Helios the opportunity to shot for winning. Bubnic led the way posting 21 points, Prepelic added 19, DJ Gay and Drao Pasalic nailed 12 apiece for Helios, while Jure Lalic drilled 15 and Zoran Dragic 14 for Novo Mesto. Zlatorog needed an extra session to edge away 75-77 Elektra Sostanj. A three pointer scored by Nejc Strnad of Zlatorog with three second left in the game forced it to the overtime. The scoring was still tied at 72 when Miha Lapornik poured in four consecutive free throws to go 72-76 and keeo the decisive slim margin. Lapornik led the winners with 18 points and Nejc Strnad added 17, while Salih Nuhanovic had 17 for Elektra.
