Unicaja scored a 92-95 road win led by star center Joel Freeland with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Freeland put Unicaja ahead 89-90 with an offensive rebound and score with 53 seconds left and Lagun Aro missed twice from downtown in the closing seconds. Tremmell Darden added 14 points and Kristaps Valters 13 for the winners. Bizkaia Bilbao held on for a 78-72 win at Fiatc Mutua Joventut. Marko Banic scored 20, Alex Mumbru 15 and D’Or Fischer amassed 12 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Real Madrid went on the road to stop Blancos de Rueda Valladolid 72-84. Rudy Fernandez had the hot hand with 28 points and Nikola Mirotic added 16 for the Whites. In an upset, Cajasol Banca Civica downed FC Barcelona Regal 81-75 on the strength of Txemi Urtasun’s 23 points. Cajasol dominated the middle two quarters 36-21 and Barca was unable to recover. Chuck Eidson paced Barcelona with 19 points and 9 rebounds. Meanwhile CAI Zaragoza rocked Caja Laboral 86-66. Rafael Hettsheimeir scored 19 and Sam Van Rossom had 12 points and 5 assists for the victors. Mirza Teletovic paced Laboral with 19. Gran Canaria 2014 marched past Ucam Murcia 66-54 as 11 different players scored scored led by Javier Beiran with 16. Granca got the job done with defense, highlighted by a third quarter in which it held Murcia to 6 points. Lucentum Alicante defeated Valencia Basket 67-70 as Kyle Singler shined with 24 points. Lamont Barnes shined late with his only basket and a pair of key blocks in the last few minutes. Nando de Colo missed a triple for the tie at the buzzer. Nik Caner-Medley led Valencia with 18 points and 8 rebounds. In other games, Fuenlabrada beat Asefa Estudiantes 88-80 and Blusens Monbus downed Assignia Manresa 61-49.
