Leeuwarden started the Dutch League season by taking down champion Zorg en Zekerheid in the first week of action. Lance Jeter scored 30 points, Tjoe de Paula netted 20 and Calvin Chitwood posted a double-double for the winners, who are now tied with GasTerra Flames and EiffelTowers Den Bosch at the top. Seamus Boxley paced ZZ Leiden with 21 points in defeat. The Flames routed Rotterdam 47-75 as Alex Wesby led five Groningen scorers in double figures with 16 points. And EiffelTowers took care of Stepco BS Weert 77-64 behind 22 points and 7 boards from Frank Turner.
