Turkish League, Regular Season, Game 6: November 19-20, 2011
Anadolu Efes is sitting pretty atop the Turkish League standings as the lone undefeated team through six games. Efes’s 98-64 demolition of Hacettepe University coupled with previously unbeaten Besiktas Milangaz losing 88-84 at home to Erdemir left Efes alone at the top. Sasha Vujacic had the hot hand with 26 points on 5-of-8 three-point shooting to pace Efes. Cenk Akyol added 13 while Sinan Guler and Vlado Ilevski tallied 11 and 10 points, respectively, and each dished 5 assists. Galatasaray Medical Park smacked Tofas 75-95 on the road to join a three-way tie with Besiktas and Turk Telekom for second place at 5-1. Galatasray led by 15 after 10 minutes and upped its advantage to 29-50 by halftime. Jamon Lucas led the attack with 15 points, Luksa Andric scored 13, Cevher Ozer and Josh Shipp added 12 each and Jak Lakovic accounted for 10 points and 6 assists. Defending champion Fenerbahce Ulker survived a tough test at Pinar Karsiyaka 75-77. Bojan Bogdanovic scored 16, Oguz Savas tallied 12 points and 9 rebounds and Emir Preldzic finished with 12 points, including the key basket in the final minute.
