Another week, another win for still undefeated Anadolu Efes, which bested Pinar Karsiyaka 79-74 to improve to 7-0. Dusko Savanovic posted 15 points and 7 rebounds and Ersan Ilyasova added 12 points and 8 boards for Efes. Sasha Vujacic and Stanko Barac netted 11 each and Kerem Tunceri ran the show with 6 assists. Jovo Stanojevic paced Karsiyaka with 20 points. Galatasaray Medical Park and Besiktas Milangaz both won to stay tied for second place at 6-1. Galatasaray topped Trabzonspor 87-67 as Preston Shumpert scored 17 and Zaza Pachulia added 11 points and 11 rebounds. GS busted the game open early and led 49-28 at halftime. Josh Shipp and Jaka Lakovic scored 12 each for Gala. Jonathan Gibson paced Trabzonspor with 22 points. Besiktas beat Aliaga Petkim 80-92 led by Mercelus Kemp’s 31 points. Defending champ Fenerbahce Ulker is locked in a three-way tie for fourth place at 5-2 after edging Mersin Bsb. 81-83. FB Ulker opened up a double-digit lead in the first quarter and led 36-46 at halftime, but Mersin battled back in the fourth to set up a thrilling finish. Behind Anthony Gundy, Mersin tied the score at 81-81 with 15 seconds to go, but head coach Neven Spahija gave the ball to Roko Ukic, who did not disappoint and scored the game-winning bucket. James Gist paced Fener with 17 points, Oguz Savas posted 15 points and 8 rebounds, Omer Onan scored 12 and Emir Preldzic talled 11 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Meanwhile Turkey’s lone Eurocup side Banvit BK edged Antalya 77-75 as Keith Simmons scored 16 and Baris Ermis dished 9 assists.
