Turkish League, Regular Season, Game 8: December 3-4, 2011
Tofas stunned Anadolu Efes in overtime to hand the visitors their first loss of the season and set up a three-way tie for first place in the Turkish League with Galatasaray Medical Park and Besiktas at 7-1. Ron Steele shined for Tofas with 11 points, 11 assists and the scores that forced overtime at 77-77 and the last point of the game. Bradley Buckman posted 23 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. For Efes Sasha Vujacic scored 19 and dished 6 assists, Ersan Ilyasova had 19 points and 10 rebounds and Esteban Batista posted 18 points and 9 boards. Galatasaray registered a 76-88 win at Antalya Bsb as Josh Shipp scored 16 and Darius Songaila 15. Galatasaray led 13-26 after 10 minutes and never trailed again. Jaka Lakovic added 12 points and Jamon Lucas had 10 points and 6 assists for the winners. Besiktas topped Olin Edirne 76-69 behind 27 points from Zoran Erceg. A victory for Fenerbahce Ulker moved the defending champs within one win of the leaders at 6-2. FB Ulker bested Erdemir 77-60 led by Oguz Savas with 21 points on near-perfect shooting and 9 rebounds. Banvit earned its fifth win by downing Bandirma 65-88. Erkan Veyseloglu led six Banvit scorers in double figures with 15 points and Baris Ermis shined with 13 points and 11 assists.
