Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv cruised to an easy win in the Israeli League, 67-100, over Elitzur Mihlelet Ashkelon on Monday. It was 10-23 after 10 minutes and 25-54 by halftime of a one-sided affair. David Logan paced six Maccabi scorers in double figures with 16 points, Shawn James netted 15, Guy Pnini 14 and Yogev Ohayon motored the offense with 12 points and 10 assists. Marcus Webb compiled 19 points and 9 rebounds in defeat. Hapoel Jerusalem dropped to 0-2 with a 77-84 home loss to Hapoel Tel Aviv on Sunday night. Tel Aviv took a small lead in the third quarter and then Demontez Stitt scored the first 7 points of the fourth quarter to give his team a 56-68 lead and Jerusalem never got within two shots after that. Stitt led Tel Aviv with 20 points and Jonathan Skjoldebrand added 17. Craig Smith paced Jerusalem with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Elsewhere, Maccabi Rishon Lezion is also 2-0 after beating Eilat 101-90 behind 23 points and 12 rebounds from Adrian Uter and Barak Netanya edged Bnei Herzliya 77-78 as Jonathan Mitchel and Marko Killingsworth combined for 42 points to also grab a spot atop the standings.
