Germany's Sportdigital to broadcast through Final Four
|
Euroleague Basketball is proud to announce that Euroleague games will be broadcast in Germany for the remainder of the current season thanks to a new agreement with Sportdigital. Basketball fans in Germany will be able to watch at least one Euroleague game per week thanks to the agreement with one of the country's key sports platforms. Throughout the Top 16, Playoffs and Final Four, Sportdigital will offer at least 15 games to customers through its pay platform, either on television or by Internet on www.sportdigital.tv.
"Thanks to our continuing partnership with Sportdigital, even though Germany's only team is now out of the competition, the country's fans can keep following Euroleague Basketball," Andrea Bassani, Euroleague TV Director, said. "This truly represents an improvement over past seasons. We want to serve the German audience in any way possible because our experience at the Final Four in Berlin last season confirmed that the country's fans are more and more interested in the Euroleague every season."
With this agreement, Euroleague Basketball games are now broadcast in 157 countries and territories through 49 TV channels, reaching all five continents.
"We are very happy to continue to upgrade our partnership with Euroleague Basketball, now in its third season," Gisbert Wundram, the managing director of Sportdigital said. "When Europe's best basketball players are fighting for the title, German TV viewers of Sportdigital will be able to watch it live."
