Apology made for broadcast interruption
|
Euroleague Basketball on Thursday offered apologies for the technical difficulties that caused the live TV signal from Wednesday night's Top 16 game between Olympiacos and Cibona to fail during several minutes of the fourth quarter. The interruption happened at the source, Peace and Friendship Stadium in Greece, and was due to heavy rains that damaged the communications equipment at the game site. The problem was solved within four minutes and the end of the game was visible. Nonetheless, Euroleague Basketball apologizes for the problems to broadcasters, their viewers and Euroleague.TV subscribers. Euroleague Basketball promises to re-double its efforts and those of its providers to ensure that such an incident is not repeated.
