Hundreds of millions of fans across China will have the chance to enjoy Europe's top competition like never before following an agreement between Euroleague Basketball and China Sports Programs Network (CSPN) to begin broadcasting games there during the upcoming Top 16 round of the 2010-11 Turkish Airlines Euroleague season. The four-year agreement includes five game broadcasts per week, at least two of them live, including the Game of the Week. CSPN offers 245 million households in China (800 million via satellite) the chance to enjoy Europe's top basketball competition with well-known Chinese commentators and additional specialty programming.
This agreement is part of Euroleague Basketball's strategy to bring the best European club basketball to fans across the globe by offering the best possible content for partners such as CSPN and their audiences.
“This partnership with CSPN will allow both Euroleague Basketball and the broadcaster to make some of the best quality basketball in the world available to fans in China," Euroleague CEO Jordi Bertomeu said. "We are very happy to have been able to sign this agreement with such a prestigious organization and are looking forward to working together in creating a star product."
