UNICAJA: Inks teen prospect Servera
Miguel Servera (Photo: Basquet Mallorca)Unicaja has officially announced the arrival of 17-year-old shooting guard Miguel Servera, who inked a three-year deal, the club confirmed Friday. Unicaja keeps an option to extend the deal until the end of the 2014-15 season. Servera (195, 17) arrives from Basquet Mallorca, where he already make his second in the Spanish second division (LEB Gold). He averaged 3.3 points and 1.1 assists in 9 LEB Gold games last season. Servera has also been a member of the Spanish under-16 and under-18 national team. Servera is expected to play for Clínicas Rincón Axarquia, Unicaja's vinculated team, in the 2009-10 LEB Gold.
