PANATHINAIKOS nabs hot prospect Bogris

Giorgos Bogris – Greece (Photo: FIBA Europe/Harry Zampetoulas)Panathinaikos added one of the hottest young prospects in Greek basketball with the signing of Giorgos Bogris from Ilissiakos Athens. Bogris (210, 20) grew up with Kadmos of Thiva before moving to Ilissiakos, where he averaged 9.4 points and 4.4 boards in 30 games last season in the Greek A2 League, helping the club advance to the top Greek League. He is a member of the Greek junior national team, the freshly crowned European Under-20 champions. Bogris averaged 14.6 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.8 blocks at the championships in Rhodes. He previously won a silver medal at the 2007 European Championships in Madrid.
