MONTEPASCHI brings back Lorenzo D'Ercole
Lorenzo DErcole – Italy (Photo: FIBA Europe/Aldis Neimanis)Montepaschi Siena has bolstered its backcourt by bringing back promising point guard Lorenzo D'Ercole, who spent last season on loan at Snaidero Udine. D'Ercole (186, 21) spent parts of two seasons between 2005 and 2007 with Montepaschi’s senior team, making his European debut in the ULEB Cup in the second of those seasons. He grew up at RB Montecatini before first coming to Montepaschi in 2004. D'Ercole also spent a season on loan at Livorno. Last year he averaged 3.6 points and 1.1 assists per game in the Italian League as a reserve for Udine. D'Ercole has also been a member of the various Italian junior national teams as he progressed through the junior levels.
