Toporov (197, 28) takes the spot vacated recently by Carlos Delfino. He averaged 10 points and 3.3 rebounds per game last season for Triumph in the Russian League and 9.9 points and 3.6 rebounds in the EuroChallenge, helping his club reach that competition's final four and finish in third place. Toporov will make his Euroleague debut this season, but has past experience in Europe's second competition, playing a year in the ULEB Cup with both Triumph and Unics Kazan. He has also played for Arsenal Tula, CSK VVS Samara and Lokomotiv Rostov during his career. Toporov has also represented the Russian national team at both the junior and silver levels, winning a silver medal at the 1997 European Cadets Championships.
