PROKOM fortifies frontline with Jan Jagla
Polish champion Asseco Prokom Gdynia fortified its frontline by signing big man Jan-Hendrik Jagla for the coming season. Jagla (213, 28) arrives from DKV Joventut Badalona where he averaged 9 points and 3.3 rebounds over 18 minutes in 10 Euroleague games last season, his first in Europe's elite competition. In the first of his two seasons at DKV, he helped the club win the ULEB Cup and the Spanish King's Cup. Jagla spent the summer representing the German national team at EuroBasket 2009, where he posted 9.3 points and 6.3 rebounds in six games. Prokom marks Jagla's sixth stop in his professional career after playing college basketball at Penn State University. Jagla has also played for Panellinios in Greece, the Artland Dragons in his native Germany, Basquetinca in Spain and Turk Telekom Ankara in Turkey.
