EFES PILSEN: Head coach Ataman leaves
Efes Pilsen will be looking for a new head coach for next season after the contract with Ergin Ataman ended and the sides failed to come to terms on an extension, the club announced over the weekend. Ataman spent the last two seasons at Efes, helping the team win the 2009 Turkish League title and Turkish Cup. He led Efes to finish first in the regular season this year before falling short in the finals. In total Ataman coached Efes for four years in two candidacies. He has also coached Telekom Ankara, Pinar Karsayaka, Ulker and Besiktas Cola Turka in his native Turkey plus Montepaschi Siena and Fortitudo Bologna in Italy.
