CHOLET BASKET tabs Houmounou
Meredis Houmounou (Photo: FIBA Europe / Aldis Neimanis)Cholet Basket has found a new backup point guard, none other than Meredis Houmounou, who inked a two-year deal with his new club on Thursday. Houmounou (188, 21) arrives from ALM Evreux Basket, where he averaged 6.5 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 35 French second division games last season. He has also played for STB Le Havre's under-20 team. Houmounou is also a member of the French under-20 national team. As such, Cholet has nine players under contract - Houmounou and Fabien Causeur at point guard, Christophe Leonard and Sammy Mejia at shooting guard and small forward, Claude Marquis, Randal Falker, Romain Duport, Luc-Arthur Vebobe and Antywane Robinson at power forward and center.
