LOTTOMATICA ROMA gets Djedovic on loan

Nihad DedovicLottomatica Roma reached an agreement with Euroleague reigning champion Regal FC Barcelona to get shooting guard Nihad Dedovic on loan until the end of the 2011-12 season, both club announced Tuesday. Dedovic (196, 20) arrives from Xacobeo BluSens Obradoiro, where he averaged 6.3 points in 27 Spanish League games last season. Dedovic has also played for Barcelona's vinculated team WTC Cornella, as well as for Bosna ASA BH Telecom in his native Bosnia and Herzegovina. Dedovic has also been a member of the Bosnian national team. Dedovic was the second best scorer (18.9 ppg.) in the 2008-09 Spanish third division and has been an accomplished scorer at all junior and cadet championships he has taken part of. This summer, Dedovic averaged 12.3 points and 2.2 steals in 6 EuroBasket 2011 qualifying games with Bosnia and Herzegovina. "I am very happy to play for Lottomatica Roma, a great club, in the Italian League and the Euroleague. I will do my best and practice hard every day to become a better player," Dedovic said. "I am very honored to know that Bogdan Tanjevic wanted me in Rome. I have a great opportunity to grow up as a player. I will play hard in defense and do many different things in offense, whatever our coach tells me."
