PROKOM adds two more to roster

Filip Videnov - Crvena Zvezda (photo gran canaria)Asseco Prokom Gdynia fortified its roster with two more additions Thursday, signing small forward Filip Videnov and shooting guard Channing Toney. Videnov (30, 196) arrives from Serbian side FMP after starting last season with Crvena Zvezda. He averaged 8.9 points in 12 Eurocup games last season for Crvena Zvezda and 13.8 points and 2.5 assists in the Adriatic League. The well-traveled wing player began his career playing college basketball at Western Kentucky University in the United States and has since suited up for Levski Sofia and F.C. Dunav Ruse in his native Bulgaria, Split in Croatia, SLUC Nancy in France, Tekelspor in Turkey, Real Madrid, Cajasol Sevilla and CB Granada in Spain and Solsonica Rieti in Italy. He has also been a regular member of the Bulgarian national team, for whom he averaged 11 points at EuroBasket 2009.

Toney (195, 24) is the son of former NBA All-Star Andrew Toney. He will make his first stop in Europe after playing college basketball for the University of Alabama-Birmingham. Toney averaged 8.8 points and 3.7 rebounds per game during his senior season in 2008-09.
