David Navarro joins Valencia (Photo: el 9)Power Electronics Valencia improved its backcourt for the remainder of the Top 16 by adding scoring ace David Navarro for the remainder of the season, the club announced Tuesday. Navarro (192, 27) arrives from Girona FC, where he averaged 14.9 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 21 Spanish second division (Adecco Oro) games this season. Navarro has also played for Caja Rioja, Gestiberica Vigo, Rosalia and Melilla in both the Spanish second and third divisions. As such, Navarro is ready to make his Turkish Airlines Euroleague debut - pending player registration - against Olympiacos next week. "He is one of the best players in Adecco Oro and has shown he has the skills to play in this team. He can offer a lot of things and we can say he is a versatile player able to play at both guards in defense," Valencia head coach Svetislav Pesic said. "We have a lot of games coming up but we will have plenty of them after the King's Cup. Navarro can help us in the Euroleague Top 16."
