EA7 EMPORIO ARMANI tabs veteran guard Giachetti
Jacopo Giachetti - Virtus RomaEA7 Emporio Armani Milan added some experience to its backcourt by signing veteran combo-guard Jacopo Giachetti, who has spent the past seven seasons playing for Virtus Roma. Giachetti (1.90 meters, 27 years old) has played in five Euroleague seasons. Last year he averaged 5.7 points and 1.7 assists over 18 minutes in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague, but was limited to six games due to a knee injury. In the Italian League he tallied 7.5 points in six games. Giachetti grew up at Don Bosco Livorno and debuted in the top Italian League with Montecatini as a teenager. He played four more seasons with Livorno before moving to Roma, with whom he reached the Italian League finals and the Italian Cup final during his stay. Giachetti has also represented the Italian national team at both the junior and senior levels.

"Jacopo Giachetti has the features we were looking to complete the point guard position in character, international experience, high-impact defensive ability and outside shooting," head coach Sergio Scariolo said of the signing.
