UNICAJA lands big man Zoric for three years
Unicaja announced its first big roster addition for the upcoming 2011-12 season on Thursday, signing power forward Luka Zoric to a three-year contract. Zoric (2.11 meters, 26 years old) arrives from recently-crowned Croatian League champion KK Zagreb, with whom he also won the Kresimir Cosic Cup this season. In addition, Zoric was named MVP of the Adriatic League earlier in the season. Zoric had made his Euroleague debut in two games with Union Olimpija of Slovenia in the 2005-06 and returned to his old club, Cibona Zagreb, to appear in four games two seasons later. Zoric led the Adriatic League in rebounding with 8.2 per game this season and ranked second in scoring at 19.4 points on average.
