CSKA MOSCOW lands former MVP Teodosic
A former Euroleague MVP has switched allegiances with the news that Russian champion CSKA Moscow has signed playmaker Milos Teodosic to a three-year deal. Teodosic (1.95 meters, 24 years old) arrives from Olympiacos, where he averaged 10.9 points on 89.8% free throw shooting and 3.6 assists in 18 Euroleague games last season. The tall guard helped his team reach the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Playoffs, win the Greek Cup and make it to the Greek League finals. He ranked 10th in the Euroleague in assists and seventh in free throw percentage. Teodosic was chosen as the 2009-10 Euroleague MVP after he averaged 13.4 points and 4.9 assists in 22 games and led the Reds to its first Euroleague final since 1997. Teodosic has also played for FMP Zeleznik and its vinculated team Borac Cacak before joining the Reds in the summer of 2007. He is also a regular member of the Serbian national team. Teodosic led Serbia to the EuroBasket 2009 final and the 2010 FIBA World Championships semifinals. Teodosic is now taking his creativity, clutch play and amazing court sense to CSKA as the club's sixth signing this summer after Nenad Krstic, Sammy Mejia, Darjus Lavrinovic, Evgeny Voronov and Anton Ponkrashov. "I am happy to play for one of the best European teams," Teodosic said. "I am glad that CSKA will have strong roster, I am sure that we will be able to reach all the goals stated by the club. Surely it is great to play alongside my friend Nenad Krstic, a great player and person."
