Milovan Rakovic - Montepaschi SienaOne of the best newcomers to the Turkish Airlines Euroleague last season switched teams on Saturday, when Milovan Rakovic was officially loaned to Zalgiris Kaunas from Montepaschi Siena for one year. Rakovic (2.08 meters, 26 years old) was his team's top rebounder and third-best scorer at the most recent Turkish Airlines Euroleague Final Four in Barcelona, where Siena finished third. Rakocevic was Siena's only player to start in all 22 Euroleague games last season, averaging 8 points and 3.8 rebounds in 17 minutes per game. Besides helping the team reach the Final Four, where he was the third-best rebounder among all teams with 7.5 boards per game, Rakovic and Siena also lifted the Italian League and Italian Cup trophies. Rakovic arrived to Siena from Spartak St. Petersburg, where he averaged 14.3 points and 6 rebounds in the 2009-10 Eurocup. He has also played for several teams in his native Serbia such as Mega Ishrana, Atlas Banka Novi Beograd and Polet Keramika Novi Becej. Rakovic helped Spartak reach the Russian League semifinals in 2009 and the Russian Cup semifinals in 2010.
