ANADOLU EFES gets Ilievski
A well-rounded Turkish Airlines Euroleague veteran has the chance to play the competition with a sixth different team, as playmaker Vlado Ilievski inked a one-year deal with Anadolu Efes on Monday. Efes keeps an option to extend his contract until the end of the 2012-13 season. Ilievski (1.88 meters, 31 years old) arrives from Union Olimpija, where he averaged 10.8 points and 4.1 assists in 15 Euroleague games last season. Ilievski helped Olimpija to win the Adriatic League and the Slovenian League titles in 2002, as well as lifting four Slovenian Cup trophies in five seasons with the team. He has also played for Partizan in Serbia, Antalyaspor Antbirlik in Turkey, FC Barcelona and Caja Laboral in Spain, Lottomatica Roma, Montepaschi Siena and Virtus Bologna in Italy. He helped Montepaschi to win the Italian League title and reach the Euroleague Final Four in 2008. Ilievski lifted the Spanish King's Cup trophy with Laboral and won the 2004 Spanish League with Barcelona. He is also a member of the FYROM national team.
